Sea Shepherds super-fast new boat the Ady Gil was destroyed in a collision with a whale-hunting ship, earlier this month. For weeks, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society has been struggling to defend whales against so-called “scientific whaling” by Japanese-run harpoon boats, in a now familiar annual conflict.
