Acoustical scientists from the US have evidence that suggests whales adapt the timing of their echolocation clicks and other calls to avoid overlapping. "In other words, whales are polite listeners; they do not interrupt each other," said Natalia Sidorovskaia, a researcher at the University of Louisiana.
