Having grown up in a family of divers and underwater photographers, it’s no surprise 24-year-old Canadian Keri Wilk started shooting young. He began with a Nikonos at the tender age of 10, before progressing to various SLRs and dSLRs to his current Nikon D300. Along the way he has built a vast image library and has dived throughout the Caribbean and Indo-Pacific as a participant in ReefNet (reefnet.ca) coral reef research expeditions and photo shoots. Keri’s first published underwater image appeared in Sport Diver magazine when he was just 16. Since then, his work has appeared in ReefNet field guides, dozens of scuba diving magazines, scientific journals, books, and museums. Keri recently graduated from university as a mechanical engineer, and is now beginning his professional career designing and developing new products for ReefNet, making promotional DVDs for various resorts, and thoroughly documenting his travels around the world. |
